Huron Benefits team provides expertise, management and compliance for a variety of benefits programs offered to Huron employees. As a fast-growing consulting firm, our benefits team plays a vital role in supporting Huron’s people experience with robust and meaningful benefits programs with a strong focus on employee wellness. The Benefits Manager supports a variety of different areas which can include health and welfare plans, qualified and non-qualified retirement programs, and executive benefit programs. Apply strong knowledge and experience to support a progressive strategy and design for Huron’s benefit programs, with a strong focus on Wellness and Work-Life initiatives as a key component of our employee engagement experience.
The Benefits Manager will be responsible for managing compliance matters, including but not limited to ERISA, IRS, ACA and other legislative rules that impact our benefit programs and HR policies.
This position will report to the Senior Director, Benefits and Human Resources Administration, and provide guidance to benefit team members.
• Responsible for managing the administration of various aspects of our health, welfare and retirement programs
• Manage Vendor Relationships
• Maintain compliance of our benefits programs and policies
• Research and provide recommendations on benefits enhancements, based on external competitive data, best practices and in support of company strategy.
• Manage disability and leave of absence programs
• Design and drive Wellness and Work-Life initiatives
• Bachelor degree
• 8 + years of Human Resources-related experience specifically with managing employee benefits programs and compliance with IRS and DOL rules and regulations
• Strong technical skills, including HRIS, is desirable
• Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task, creative thinking
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to consider and drive benefit enhancements and/or process improvements
• Global Benefits Experience
• Strong FMLA and ADA knowledge
